OR Registered Nurse | Charleston, South Carolina New

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized skills in operating room care, focusing on ophthalmology patients. This contract position offers a chance to apply your expertise in a dedicated outpatient service center, assisting in the surgical care and recovery of eye patients. The shift is Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend or on-call requirements. Holiday rotation may be necessary, with the possibility of floating within perioperative areas as needed.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with a minimum of 2 years experience in ophthalmology nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Radiation badge required; must be provided by the agency
• Experience with perioperative nursing procedures and patient care
• Ability to adapt to unit needs, including possible float assignments within the perioperative facility
  
  

Responsibilities And Duties

• Providing perioperative care to ophthalmology patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Collaborating with surgical teams to prepare and assist during procedures
• Monitoring patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operation
• Adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards
• Utilizing EPIC charting system for accurate patient documentation

The worksite is an outpatient service center with free parking and a comfortable environment.
